Kayak Polo

When the rivers freeze over, we head to the Canada Games Center (CGC) in Whitehorse every Friday night (8-10PM) to play kayak polo. We re-draft teams every week to play 5 vs.5 round robin format (depending on number of players). Open to all ages and skill levels. YCKC boats, paddles (plastic blades only), helmets and skirts are available. CGC life jackets are also available but can be uncomfortable (recommend bringing your own). If you want to bring your own kayak, it must be clean and dry (there is limited storage for personal boats). Players who are new to kayak polo will have to demonstrate a competent wet exit or role.

2023 Season starts October 13th (8-10PM).
