Mendenhall Landing Outhouse Effort

Mendenhall Landing is the take-out of the popular day trip section of the Takhini River. For years, there has been concerns raised by YCKC members, private businesses and the general community about the impact of human waste in this area. For the 2022 summer, YCKC was able to secure funding and permits for a portable outhouse. We are currently working with Yukon Parks and the Youth Achievement Center on a more sustainable solution.
