Youth Whitewater Kayaking Day Camp 2026 (ages 12-17)

Designed for youth who are interested in trying whitewater kayaking or in continuing to improve their paddling abilities. This beginner program focuses on fundamental technical and safety skills of whitewater kayaking. Taking on the format of week long day camp, the YCKC Youth program will take place from June 22nd-26th 9am-4pm. The majority of the program will take place on the Yukon River in Whitehorse ending with a day trip to the Lower Tutshi River near Carcross on the final day (this trip is water-level dependant)
YCKC provides kayaks, paddles and all the necessary personal safety equipment. Participants are responsible for their own warm clothing layers, lunches and snacks for the day.
Start Date: Monday June 22nd 
End Date: Friday June 26th
After completion of the course, participants are invited (and encouraged!) to join weekly beginner drop-ins on the Yukon River. Every Tuesday - 6:30-9pm from June 30th until the weather decides it's over!
